The interim report was a study
into community participation in community buildings, examining 94
community buildings across the city. The research was funded by
Neighbourhood Renewal and serves to provide base-line data for building
activity and a basis for further research into the management and users
of community buildings. Research was carried out from October 2004 to
June 2005 by CBN, in partnership
with the Trust for Developing Communities. (12/05)
Copies of the report are available online: full report (60 pages) / abridged report (30 pages)
CBN, in partnership with Community
Matters, organised a half day consultation and discussion about
economic sustainability for community buildings in the Southeast. The
aim of the conference was to look at an alternative strategy that can
take community buildings forwards into a new stage of development to
secure the future running of their buildings.
The conference was attended by over 30 people from across the Southeast, and included a plenary session with David Tyler, National Director of Community Matters and three practical workshops facilitated by Community Matters and B&H Business in the Community Partnership. A report of the conference will be produced. (12/05) More information: Publicity 1 / Publicity 2
